Brumenschenkel Participates in MLK Day of Service at Mount Union

Rachel Brumenschenkel, of Shelby, Ohio, was a volunteer for the University of Mount Union's 22nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.

The MLK Day of Service is the largest community service event put on by the Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement, and over 500 volunteers participated this year. Volunteer locations included Alliance Community Pantry, Rodman Public Library, Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter, Danbury Senior Living, Hartville Thrift Shoppe, Beech Creek Botanical Garden and more in the Alliance area. Volunteers performed duties such as cleaning, painting, organizing and crafting.
