Demi Lohr to Perform with Mount Union Jazz Band

Demi Lohr, a junior music education major of Ravenna, OH, will perform in the University of Mount Union's percussion ensemble and jazz band concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 in Campus Grounds of Hoover Price Campus Center.

Percussion ensemble selections will include "Music for Pieces of Wood" by Steve Reich, "Elusice One!" by Steve Pemberton and "Cross" by Eugene Novotney.

The jazz band will perform selections including "Theme from Barney Miller" by Jack Elliot and Allyn Ferguson with arrangement by John Higgins; "Somewhere in September" by Bill Fulton, "You Do Something To Me" by Cole Porter with arrangement by Dave Wolpe; "Doxy" by Sonny Rollins with arrangement by Mark Taylor and "Green Dolphin Street" by Bronislaw Kaper, arrangement by Bill Fulton.

The Visual and Performing Arts

Since Mount Union's founding in 1846, study of the visual and performing arts has been fundamental to the philosophy, mission and liberal arts foundation of the University and the exceptional education it provides.
