Kevin Princic to Perform in Mount Union Band Concert

Kevin Princic, a senior Japanese and international studies major of Stow, OH, will perform in the University of Mount Union's annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 at the West Branch High School Auditorium.

Under the direction of Dr. Otis French, director of bands, the band will begin the concert a performance of "Flourish for Wind Band" by Ralph Vaughn Williams and will continue with works by composers including Robert Longfield, Carl Orff, Robert W. Smith, David Gillingham, Leroy Anderson and an arrangement of "Joy to the World" by Steve Reisteter.

Professor Kevin P. Kern, assistant professor of theatre, will be a special guest narrator for "All is Calm" while sophomore music and religious studies major Mikayla Kovacik of Cadiz, Ohio plays piano.

French holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting from the University of Maryland, a Master of Music degree in conducting from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Business Administration from Saint Leo College and an Army Bandmaster Major with a Course Certification as an Army Band Officer from the Navy School of Music.
