Quynh Anh Truong Takes Bloomberg Aptitude Test

2013 Mar 21

Quynh Anh Truong of Hanoi, Vietnam recently took the Bloomberg Aptitude Test at the University of Mount Union.

Truong is a junior finance and economics major.

This is the first year Mount Union students participated in the test, which helps students improve their marketability by allowing them to post their BAT test scores along with their resumes on Bloomberg's website. Financial employers often search for potential new hires on Bloomberg's site.

The BAT is a global, standardized online exam that the Bloomberg Institute has developed in partnership with premier companies, university faculty and business professionals around the world. The test is designed for undergraduates and recent graduates who are interested in an entry-level job in the business world.

According to Dr. Patricia (Foley '73) Matthews, professor of finance and health care management and Nolen A. Cunningham Chair of Business, all seniors in the finance major voluntary took the test, which takes approximately three hours to complete. Several weeks after taking the test, Mount Union students received their scores, which indicated that Mount Union scored higher than the world average in categories including situational judgment, verbal skills, investment management, financial statements analysis, financial markets and corporate valuation.
