Sara Hall to Perform with Mount Union's Jazz and Steel Bands

Sara Hall, a Senior Political Science and International Studies major of Canton, Ohio, will perform with the University of Mount Union's Jazz and Steel Bands at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10 in Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for Performing Arts.

Under the direction of Jeff Neitzke, the Jazz Band explores all styles in the jazz idiom. Students perform traditional swing, big band, funk and rock, as well as more modern jazz sounds and various Latin jazz styles. The ensemble adapts each semester to the types of instruments in the group, so there is always something new to hear. The Jazz Band rehearses twice a week, and is open to all musicians attending Mount Union, whether a music major or not, who are interested in exploring the nuances of the vast landscape that is jazz music.
