Tyler Mason to Perform in Mount Union Musical

Tyler Mason of North Canton, Ohio will perform in The Light in the Piazza on February 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. in the Rodman Playhouse on the University Mount Union's campus. The performance on February 20 will be held at 2 p.m.

Mason, a junior music major, is a graduate of Green High School. He will perform as Giuseppe in the musical. The Light in the Piazza takes place in Italy during the summer of 1953. Margaret, the wife of an American businessman, is touring the Tuscan countryside with her daughter, Clara. During the trip, Clara loses her hat and a young man named Fabrizio returns it to her. This brief episode, charged with coincidence and fate, sparks an instant romance between Clara and Fabrizio. As The Light in the Piazza unfolds, a secret is revealed and Clara's mother is forced to alter the destiny of her daughter.
