The University of Mount Union's Sustainability Management Advisory Council (SMAC) is proud to announce environmental science major Emily R. Becker '25, Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Dr. Kanika Bansal, and Director of Digital Learning and Design Dr. Stephen Craig as its 2023 Green Raider Award recipients.

The University of Mount Union Department of Performing presented a Spring Band Concert featuring the Concert Band on Wednesday, April 26 in Brush Performance Hall in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The concert featured works by Pierre Leemans, Aaron Copland, Hans Zimmer, John Philip Sousa and more.

The University of Mount Union is hosting a new exhibit, featuring the Senior Culminating Experience projects of three UMU seniors. The exhibit is currently on display through May 15 in the Sally Otto Gallery.

The Mount Union Raider Steel Band performed work by Ray Holman, Mongo Santamaria, Philip Glass and Dennis Williams during its April 18 concert.

More than 300 University of Mount Union students, faculty, staff and community members participated in the annual MLK Day of Service of January 16.

Alliance, OH - The Department of Performing Arts at the University of Mount Union will present "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" March 30-April 2 in Brush Performance Hall in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

On the weekend of January 20-22, 2023, University of Mount Union physics majors Danielle Daiger and Brianna Rapp had the unique experience of attending the American Physical Society Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (APS CUWiP) at Pennsylvania State University.

The University of Mount Union's Raider Steel Band performed works by Rick Kurasz, Bob Marley, Tom Miller, Max Dudack, Lord Kitchener, Ras Shorty and John Willmarth during its December 1 concert. The musical styles spanned the globe and included: calypso, reggae cha-cha, soca chutney, bembe, and fusion.

Alliance, OH- The University of Mount Union's, Raider Student Media (RSM), and its students were recently honored by College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) during its National Student Electronic Media Convention.

The University of Mount Union Christmas Festival, entitled "Shalom" will be held in the Brush Performance Hall December 8-10.

During the first week of November, the Regula Center at Mount Union is delivering nearly 300 hand colored placemats to nursing homes and dining sites throughout Alliance.The placemats are part of take the monthly take and make service projects coordinated by the Center. For each project like this the Center provides the supplies for people to take home and create something that will then be donated.

The Department of Performing Arts at the University of Mount Union will present the play, "Or," November 10-13 in the Gallaher Black Box Theatre in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.
